Trail Treker is a map viewing tool designed to work seamlessly with the Trail Treker map publishing service. Geared towards clubs, tourism agencies, and municipalities, Trail Treker enables users to access maps offline on their smartphones. By leveraging GPS technology, Trail Treker eliminates the need for constant phone service once the map is downloaded. It is even advisable to switch to Airplane Mode in areas with spotty network coverage to preserve battery life.

Beyond mapping functionalities, Trail Treker can pinpoint local businesses and points of interest based on GPS location data. Users also have the option to save custom points of interest such as shelters, supply points, or emergency evacuation locations on the maps.

The Trail Treker app facilitates the download of any member map, with free access granted through a membership map code. Alternatively, non-members can purchase maps as needed.

It's worth noting that running GPS in the background for extended periods may impact battery performance.
